Welcome to the Tradewinds of Sanibel Homeowners Association website. We are a neighborhood of 65 homes on the west side of Sanibel Island, rich in nature, community and friendship. We live in harmony with our environment and ask that all visitors to our beautiful Sanibel neighborhood respect our cooperative spirit and our love of the nature that surrounds us.

Bobbie Lasky 1931 - 2026
Barbara Jane (Bush) Lasky - Bobbie - passed away on January 5, 2026. She will be remembered in Tradewinds as one of the nicest and most cheerful residents, and we will miss seeing her biking around our neighborhood.

A celebration of her life will be held on our Tradewinds Beach on Saturday, February 7th at 4:30pm, followed by food & drinks at Barb & Rhonda's house! All are welcome to come celebrate Bobbie's amazing life!

Nola Theiss
Former Mayor of Sanibel and longtime resident of our Tradewinds neighborhood, Nola Theiss, passed away on December 18th. After serving the City of Sanibel as Mayor she spent many days walking our beach and listening to her books, but will be remembered most for her tireless efforts to create awareness of human trafficking in SW Florida and across the nation. Thank you Nola for all your service to our community!
